The Caravan Club have opened a new addition to their site network near Maidstone called Bearsted and this is ideal for a channel port stopover.
Château de Lacomté is a beautiful looking site that is set in parkland, within a national park in the Lot region of France and has a great deal to offer if you are looking for tranquility, natural surroundings, medieval architecture, good wine and food and fantastic facilities.

As an add on to my article ” How to avoid problems when driving your Motorhome in Europe ” the German national tourist office have just produced a free guide to campsites in Germany. The guide is written in English and designed for campers, caravanners and Motorhome owners and is aimed specifically at us Brits.
Now is the time when our thoughts turn to holidays and we start to wonder if we might take a trip abroad in the Motorhome this year. Great if you do but my advice is to plan carefully prior to the trip.
