I’ve contacted the Camping and Caravan Club about this Motorhome fresh water tank filling problem and I’ve had a very prompt and positive response.
I’m going to keep posting information about Motorhome parking in the UK as I find it. The situation does keep on changing but it’s now very obvious that the Councils are becoming very enlightened and welcoming and realise that people who driveMotorhomes are an asset and should be encouraged to park locally and spend their money.
I thought I’d just let you know that I’m still chasing the Caravan Club for a response to this Motorhome fresh water tank filling problem and we have been swapping emails over the past week.
I’ve just received my regular newsletter from the Camping & Caravanning Club and I was very interested to see that they have launched a brand new area on their website for people who are new to camping,caravanning and Motorhoming.
If your driving license is one of the new photo card licenses then you need to check it’s validity or driving your Motorhome could land you in hot water.

Earlier in the month I talked about the problems that I’d had filling up the Motorhome at Moreton-in-Marsh and Henley Caravan Club Sites and I’ve now had a response from the Caravan Club.
I’ve seen a website called Caravan Sitefinder ( should have been Motorhome Sitefinder but there you go ) that lists thousands of sites throughout the UK, Eire and France.
I have reported previously about having problems filling up my Starseeker Motorhome water tank at Henley due to a pressure valve fitted to the fresh water tap and I’ve now come accross it at Moreton-in-Marsh. How are we going to get around this device?
