In the US a lot of companies organise “clothing drives” as a means of encouraging their staff to donate used clothes that are no longer required and these are then passed on to a charity. This video shows how successful they can be.
We do a similar thing here but we either bag them and take them to a charity shop or put them outside the house for collection. Maybe we should encourage the Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club to organise recycling clothes bins on their sites. After all, if you’re anything like me, then I like to have a different wardrobe of clothes for the Motorhome and for the house so I’m just as likely to recycle something on a site as I am at home.
This video is an extremely funny example of how to run a very successful clothing drive by offering a Bud Light in exchange for used clothes. The problem is that the insatiable appetite for the Bud Light invokes an impulsiveness in the staff as never been seen before.
It’s great, so sit back with a Bud Light ( and a bag of used clothes of course ) and enjoy.
PS. - don’t forget to donate the bag of used clothes.
