We have just spent the last weekend in Cirencester which was very nice but I’ll tell you more about that later.
What I did want to say was that we’ve been very unlucky with the weather this year, when we’re home it seems to be sunny and when we’re away in the Motorhome it isn’t – well that’s how it seems anyway. A good example of that this year was Wimbledon fortnight which was the best 2 weeks of the year to date and we spent it at home watching the tennis. Mind you, the tennis was good.
This weekend was different and for the first time this year we were able to have a barbecue on Friday and Saturday evening and we sat under the awning on Saturday Night – what a treat. It’s amazing how the little things in life make us feel so good.
Let’s hope the good weather lasts.

Treated ourselves to a Cadac after rave reviews in the press. Although it packs up well we load it into an old suitcase and padlock it to our bike rack. It cooks chicken perfectly under the lid in about 45 minutes. Oooo yum. It now lives on the patio at home under the parasol and is used in all weathers. Fried breakfast this morning, sardines last night. As they say in Paulsgrove – “I loves it I dooes”
Hello Philip,
Thanks again for your comment. We love the taste of barbecued food and if not for the weather we’d do it all the time. Mind you I have been photographed in the garden, under an umbrella, in the middle of a huge rainstorm with tongs in hand and the barbecue smoking.
Regards,
Steve
