Motorhome parking is now available in Bury St Edmunds near Suffolk. The local council have now provided Motorhome only spaces in a car park only 150 yards from the market square. The council are also allowing overnight parking for Motorhomes in these spaces. I’m not sure how many of these spaces have been allocated but according to a photograph I’ve seen there are at least 3.
Thanks very much to the council at Bury St Edmunds for providing this Motorhome parking and I hope that the town sees a benefit from doing this and that it encourages other councils to follow suit.
Motorhome parking availability in the UK is now becoming a regular post rather than a rarity and it would appear that local councils are listening more and more to what the public wants. Of course it is also becoming influenced by the snow ball effect and the more councils that provide this facility the more have to be seen to be doing so.
All we need now is someone to produce a book similar to the Aires books but for Motorhome parking in the UK although I guess at this time it wouldn’t be a very thick book but from little acorns etc etc.
